What happened
After vetting 199 different buyers, including large strategics and private equity firms, it was determined that the general manager was the best candidate for this acquisition. With the Seller’s health failing, it was in his best interest to close quickly, without lengthy due diligence or contract negotiations. The GM was the logical choice; one the founder had not previously considered. We were delighted to facilitate a process that led to the right decision for everyone.
Every closed engagement is described this way. The company is never named, and no figure that could identify it is published (except where permission is granted) — during the process or after it.
The NDA and teaser came down at completion of the transaction. What a seller is owed in confidence during a sale, they are owed afterward.
