What happened

DIY is not a good idea for an M&A transaction. This was a unique product-based business with customers worldwide. The family that owned it tried unsuccessfully to sell it for years. They reasoned that one of their customers would be the likely buyer. Their customers weren’t manufacturers; they just needed secure cash boxes. The Accelerated team understood the manufacturing processes involved in making the products and sought out fabrication acquirers who didn’t have their own product lines.

We successfully sold to a buyer within our network, who we’ve known for years. This was the perfect match for both sides.

Every closed engagement is described this way. The company is never named, and no figure that could identify it is published (except where permission is granted) — during the process or after it.

Why no documents are available

The NDA and teaser came down at completion of the transaction. What a seller is owed in confidence during a sale, they are owed afterward.
